Math 621B:

-  Prepare review questions for tomorrow’s class

Remember:  If school is cancelled for some odd reason on Monday, the exam will be at the scheduled time:  Tuesday, January 27, in the morning.

Math 621A:

-  Prepare review questions for tomorrow.

Remember:  If school is cancelled on Monday for some odd reason,  the exam will be held at its regular scheduled time: Thursday, January 29, in the morning.

Math 531:

-  We will check the answers to Problems 5 and 6 on page 207 tomorrow.

-  We will then complete a review exercise.

Remember:  If school is cancelled on Monday for some strange reason, the exam will be held at its regular time:  Wednesday, January 28, in the morning.

Well folks, our first semester is quickly coming to a close!  I am sure you are all getting geared for final exams.  Good luck in your prepartion and studying.  Make sure you get lots of rest and eat well.

Math 621B:

-  Please complete exerises 1 – 12 on the sheet for solving quadratic systems.

-  Start collecting questions for review purposes.

Math 621A:

-  Complete questions 10, 11 aceg, and 14 on pages 167 – 168 regarding arc length and sector angle.

-  Start collecting questions for review purposes.

Math 531:

-  We completed some more fraction review exercises.  Five minutes at the start of class tomorrow I will allow you to finish the last sheet we were working on.

-  We will do some measurement calculations tomorrow and, look towards review on Friday.

-  I will be handing back assignments on Monday in preparation for your test on Tuesday which is on Tuesday regardless of what the weather might bring on Monday.

-  Finish problems 15 – 18, 25 – 27, and 33, 35, 37, 41 on page 168.

-  Remember, your journal is due Wednesday of next week.

Math 621A:

-  Remember that your journal is due next Tuesday.

Math 531:

-  If it storms tomorrow, remember to omit 2c and 3c on the assignment.  The assignment is still due on Thursday.

-  Complete problems 2 – 7 on sheet 8.7.  We will check them tomorrow.  That will mark the end of your test material for Friday.

Math 531:

-  We completed example 4 for an employed individual in your workbook.  If it storms tomorrow, your assignment will be put back to Friday.

Math 621B:

-  We concluded our study of ellipses by completing 40 on page 152

-  Then we began our study of hyperbolas.  If you missed class, be sure to get the notes and complete all 2 – 5 on page 159 – 160. 

-  Assignment was moved to Thursday, quiz to following Tuesday, and journal to Wednesday, Jan 21. 

Math 621A:

-  We continued our study of standard normal distributions and completed 2 – 5 on page 501.  For homework, problems 1, 3, 5,  and 7 on sheet 8.5 and 8.5 was assigned.

-  Remember the assignment is due on Tuesday with quiz on Thursday.

Math 531:

-  Exercise 1 was completed and checked.   Then we started filling out the income tax forms for a post-secondary student. 

-  An in-class assignment will be given on Wednesday with a quiz on Friday.

-  Continued our study of ellipses.  Complete exercises 25 – 27 , 39 on page 150 – 151

Math 621A:

-  Started the Standard Normal Curve by looking at z scores and A(z).  To make sure you know how to use the tables complete 1 and 2 on page 492

Math 531:

-  We completed example 1 from last day and started exercise one which was given on the overhead.

-  You will be given time to complete exercise 1 and check it in tomorrow’s class.

The countdown is on until exams!  Don’t let the time slip away.

Math 621B:

-  We are full swing into our study of conic sections.  We finished up circles and plunged right into ellipses.

-  I handed out assignment #3 today which is due next Tuesday (depending on weather conditions) with a test to follow on Thursday.

-  For homework, complete 3, 4, 7, 9, 14, 22, 23 on page 150.

Math 621A:

-  We finished up our discussion on mean and standard deviation and dove right into Normal Distributions. 

-  I handed out the assignment that is due next Tuesday, as long as the weather cooperates, with a test to follow on Thursday

-  For homework, complete 2, 3, and 5 on pages 488 – 489

Math 531:

-  We continued our study of income tax  by filling out some forms.  We started out simply, by completing forms for high school students.  We will continue with more examples in the days ahead.

-  Tomorrow we have a guest speaker coming in to talk about car insurance.

-  Complete odds 1 – 15 on page 141.  For the odds 9 – 15 I would like both standard and general form.  I know, I know, you can thank me for keeping you busy when you get back from the break!

-  Don’t forget about your journal!!  that will be due before you know it!

Math 621 A:

-  Complete 1 on page 477 to keep mean and standard deviation fresh in your minds! I know ,you were worried about having something to do over the holidays!

-  Don’t forget about your journals either!!  They will be due before you know it also!

Math 531:

-  We completed our project on used vehicles, so that conpletes the vehicle section.
